Hitachi Data Systems Strengthens ANZ Channel Engagement With Key Appointments
Matt Wilson Joins Industry and Alliance Solutions Team as Distribution Manager, Ed Daven Appointed Channel Marketing Manager
SYDNEY — November 14, 2013 — Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501), today announced the appointments of Matt Wilson as distribution manager and Ed Daven as channel marketing manager for Australia and New Zealand. They will support the company’s partner-centric strategy with a focus on strengthening relationships, engagement and go-to-market strategies with resellers, solution partners and distributors in the region. Both positions will be based in Sydney.
Focusing on the evolution of the ANZ distribution model, Wilson is tasked with further growing the reseller base and market share for Hitachi Data Systems with market-driven solutions that address cloud, big data and enterprise mobility challenges in the enterprise and mid-market. He joins Hitachi Data Systems from Express Data, where he was the communications division manager for the distributor’s major vendor partners. Earlier, he was the evangelist for RSA, EMC’s security division. During his 7-year stint he gained extensive knowledge of Australia’s ICT ecosystem with a proven ability to build and develop strong channels. Prior, Wilson spent 10 years in the not-for-profit sector specialising in project management.
Further strengthening the industry and alliance solutions team at Hitachi Data Systems ANZ, Daven is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of marketing campaigns that enable partners to position themselves favourably against new market opportunities and grow revenue with high-value solution sales. He brings strong channel experience and knowledge to the role, having previously worked as product marketing manager at Westcon Group, where he was responsible for programs for EMC, VCE and F5. He also previously held the position of solutions product specialist at Avnet Technology, where he looked after Eaton and Google.
