Toshiaki Tokunaga is chairman of the board at both Hitachi Vantara and Hitachi Global Digital Holdings. With Hitachi Vantara, Tokunaga focuses on accelerating digital value creation for customers and partners and unlocking new synergies across the greater Hitachi Group.

Tokunaga joined Hitachi Vantara's board in early 2019 and since then, he has focused on helping customers unlock more value from their data to solve their greatest business challenges. He has helped the company deliver major innovations and enhancements to its core infrastructure, intelligent data operations and data-driven solutions portfolios. He also remains focused on Hitachi's double bottom line, using technology and services to solve societal issues and help customers make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Tokunaga has nearly 30 years of experience in successfully transforming Hitachi businesses. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from The University of Tokyo.
