Innovative, Effective and Practical Solutions Accelerate Customers’ Business Transformations
Hong Kong – August 01, 2017 – Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6501), topped in the high-end segment of the overall enterprise external storage market in Hong Kong during 2016 according to a new report from International Data Corporation (IDC) . Despite a year-on-year (YoY) fall in total market revenues, HDS made significant gains in market share to take over as Hong Kong’s #1 high-end storage vendor.
The HDS strategy of bringing enterprise features to midrange storage is paying dividends with a rapidly increasing number of Hong Kong customers enjoying the benefits. This helped HDS grow at a phenomenal rate of 90.4% YoY in the midrange storage segment in Hong Kong for FY16 and continue building momentum to challenge the market leader.
“Digital transformation puts data at the center of business strategy and makes IT a key element of success, but it also puts pressures on enterprises to modernize IT processes, systems and skillsets. HDS committed to provide customer-centric solutions that simplify and accelerate their data-centric modernization efforts,” said Andrew Sampson, general manager, Hong Kong and Macau, Hitachi Data Systems.
With businesses under tremendous pressure to leverage their data to remain competitive, understanding customer needs and aligning solutions within a dynamic environment is the top priority for HDS.
