Risk Decisions Increases Competitive Advantage with Pentaho

Established leader in enterprise risk management is first to market with geo-mapping

October 22, 2013, — Delivering the future of analytics, Pentaho Corporation announces today that its UK customer Risk Decisions has successfully embedded Pentaho Business Analytics to deliver the industry’s first enterprise risk management solution with integrated geo-mapping capabilities. The new solution is called Global Risk Reporting Capability and is part of Risk Decisions’ Predict! 4.4 software. It benefits global project, programme and enterprise risk management professionals by enabling them to immediately visualise where risk ‘hotspots’ are located see on a map so they can focus time and materials on the areas that matter most.

One of the greatest challenges for large companies and government organisations managing large, complex capital projects is the number of stakeholders involved. Recognising this, Risk Decisions sought to make its Predict! software communicate much more visually and intuitively than others in the market to reduce ambiguity and help guide optimal decision-making. Risk Decisions chose to integrate Pentaho Business Analytics for its reporting and data visualisation capabilities, including geo-mapping, its ad-hoc reporting capabilities and the fact that it was based on open standards and therefore easy to integrate into Predict!.

Increasing competitive advantage for Predict!
According to Val Jonas, CEO Risk Decisions, “Integrating Pentaho into Predict! has given us a competitive edge. Its ease of integration has meant we've been able to focus developer time on the innovative risk management capabilities Predict! is famous for.”

Davy Nys, VP EMEA & APAC Pentaho commented, “One of our strongest growth areas is with companies like Risk Decisions who are seeking to gain competitive advantage by embedding advanced analytics and data visualisations into their existing software. Although Predict! is already an established market leader, it saw a new opportunity to stretch its lead by offering its customers geo-mapping and ad-hoc reporting.”
