Capacity and Performance

Hitachi Advanced Server DS225 delivers unparalleled compute density and efficiency to meet the needs of your most demanding high-performance applications in the data center. DS225 takes full advantage of the ground-breaking Intel Xeon Scalable Processor family to make these capabilities possible (see Table 1). By combining the Intel processors with up to four dual-width 300W graphic accelerator cards and up to 3TB memory capacity in a 2U rack space package, this server stands ready to address the most challenging demands on today’s IT infrastructure.

GPU and I/O Expansion

Optimize throughput, capacity and I/O performance of the DS225 to support a wide range of enterprise applications. Up to four dual-width 300W graphics processing unit (GPU) cards, along with additional PCIe 3.0 expansion slots, allow the DS225 server to be flexibly configured.

Flexible, High-Capacity Storage

Front-side accessible storage bays in DS225 support up to eight hot-pluggable, serial-attached SCSI (SAS), or serial-ATA (SATA) devices. These bays also support flexible configuration, which allows the server to deliver both high I/O performance and high capacity.

Enterprise-Class Features

The DS225 server provides the reliability, availability and serviceability (RAS) features demanded by your business-critical enterprise applications. The server’s modular design simplifies cable routing and reduces service time. Redundant, hot-swap drives and power supplies provide a resilient architecture for important applications, and dual-rotor hot-swap fans help ensure continuous operation.
