Hitachi Data Systems Appoints ANZ Director of Services to Grow Services Business

Sydney — October 15, 2014 —Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501) today announced the appointment of Kiwa Stevenson as director of services, Australia and New Zealand. The appointment is an integral part of the Hitachi Data Systems growth strategy in the region as the company continues to invest in its solutions and services portfolios to cater to the growing demand from clients, particularly for cloud services.

Stevenson brings with him more than 15 years of experience in the technology sector, joining Hitachi Data Systems from Dell where he worked for 5 years in various senior roles. Most recently, he was the director of the infrastructure and cloud computing business units in Australia and New Zealand where he transformed Dell services capability to a mature infrastructure consulting, integration and managed services practice.

Based in Sydney, Stevenson will report directly into Neil Evans, ANZ regional vice president and general manager. Stevenson will be responsible for supporting key channel partnerships, as well as assisting HDS customers to transform their legacy environments to take advantage of rapidly evolving technologies in big data management, content platforms, and public, private and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
