Hitachi to use AI to improve shipping performance for Stena Line
London – June 6, 2018 – Hitachi Europe Ltd. will partner with Stena Line, one of Europe's largest shipping companies, to implement artificial intelligence technology to improve performance. The project will look to lower fuel costs, improve fleet operations and increase operational efficiencies. Hitachi experts from multiple business units will collaborate with Stena Line to integrate smart technology into the company's operations on both ship and shore, to help it achieve its goal of becoming the world's leading cognitive shipping company by 2021.
