A day in my life

I’m currently working for one of the largest operators of restaurants, pubs, and bars in the UK. One of the main tasks of my role is developing and delivering APIs that will integrate with delivery partners and restaurant’s Point of Sale (POS). It’s rewarding to see and know that any customer that uses their establishments will in fact use our APIs to submit their orders. Between developing APIs and the normal daily meetings, I usually spend the rest of my time researching new technologies to enhance my skills as a developer. Another great part of my role is working in a team; we work together to obtain results, solve problems, and have some fun. Digital transformation got a boost due to the pandemic and Hitachi played an important role in helping customers transform and evolve their businesses.

Why I chose Hitachi Vantara 

During my recruitment process, I felt that the interviews and the projects presented were interesting and would provide me with new challenges. I’d been working in a customer centre business for 8 years and was ready for a career change. The technical interview process helped me understand what Hitachi expected from my professional course. Hitachi is one of the largest companies in the world, not only in the IT business but also in automotive, construction machinery, rail, and other sectors, these were the reasons that helped me make my decision.
