Working at the cutting edge of Technology

Currently, I’m working with an amazing development team on a cutting-edge project related to sustainability.

My role allows me to participate in different areas such as team management or code development and gives me the opportunity to interact frequently with our clients. Having the chance to work on sustainability projects motivates me further as I know that we are really doing something to make our world a better place.

On the development side, I have the chance to work with latest technologies, working methodologies, and acquire new knowledge easily. This enables me to suggest and advice the best solutions to our clients. And let me be upfront, cutting-edge technology is what most of the developers like to work on.

Why I chose Hitachi Vantara

My previous job was in a software house, and I started to feel that I was becoming a business expert and I was missing the tech train. I was definitely in need of new challenges in this last area. 
Coincidently, I was contacted by Hitachi Vantara. Honestly, I was not a big fan of consulting companies, but I had the chance to talk with senior members about their projects and ways of working. This seemed to be what I was looking for and I accepted the offer, which looking back was one of my best decisions.

Since then, I have been able to work on different projects, with different people and different kinds of latest technologies. The company culture, the work-life balance, and the respect between team-mates was also a bonus for me, and I feel these are the keys to a great working environment. The daily challenges also seem to be manageable this way.

I usually say that here we aren’t just a “pair of arms” or a “code monkey” that our clients ask for. They will receive the full package, with a pair of arms and a thinking head that will be able to help them with the best business options and critical thinking.

No company is perfect but what makes me comfortable is that we work together every day to be better and better.
