Hitachi Data Systems Supports Growing Partner Ecosystem With Appointment of Auckland Territory Manager

Sydney — May 28, 2015 —Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501), today announced the appointment of Jacques Cronjé as territory manager for Auckland, New Zealand, responsible for building and supporting the company’s growing customer base and partner ecosystem in the region.

The appointment is in response to significant opportunities and growth in the New Zealand market. Over the last 18 months, Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has brought on 20 new partners across New Zealand and Australia in order to support emerging demand in the market for cloud, convergence, data mobility, data protection, big data analytics, and Internet of Things. The partners will round out the skills, capabilities and solutions required by end users.

2014 HDS ANZ Partner of the Year, Revera, a New Zealand-based cloud service provider and long-standing HDS partner, will be one of the partners benefitting from Cronjé’s appointment.

Cronjé has more than 20 years experience in the IT sector, and specialises in cloud, disaster recovery, virtualization and storage technologies. He joins HDS from Fujitsu, where he was responsible for business development and client management across a broad portfolio of Auckland customers. Prior to settling in New Zealand, Cronjé held positions with a number of top-tier companies in the UK and South Africa, including Persetel, Barclays and Ernst & Young.
