Hitachi Data Systems Showcases Customer Success at HIMSS 2013
SANTA CLARA, Calif.— February 28, 2013 — Hitachi Data Systems Corporation (HDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501), will showcase its Hitachi Clinical Repository solution in Booth #1755 at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2013 annual conference and exhibition, the industry's largest gathering of healthcare IT professionals.
Hitachi Data Systems customer, Maastricht University Medical Centre (MUMC+) located in Maastricht, Netherlands, has recently implemented Hitachi Clinical Repository (HCR) as part of a multi-departmental data consolidation and sharing strategy, and will demonstrate the solution in the Hitachi Data Systems booth. For MUMC+, the project’s primary objective was to build a secure, information infrastructure to solve a multi-departmental data challenge, while also underpinning a standards-based interface for their clinical user base.
For MUMC+, Hitachi Clinical Repository meets the needs of the clinical department as well as the enterprise needs of clinicians, referring physicians and specialists. Chosen for its Vendor Neutral Archive qualities, HCR is being used to successfully move images out of the site’s radiology PACS into a centralized clinical repository. By supporting any image or document type, regardless of origin or vendor, HCR gives MUMC+ the freedom to leverage the market for best-of-breed PACS solutions without fear of painful and expensive migration costs.
Executives from the Maastricht University Medical Centre will be available in the HDS booth for discussion, and Hitachi Clinical Repository will be on display.
