Introducing the Pentaho Excellence Awards

Pentaho customers, partners and users to be recognized for their leading edge Analytics and Big Data deployments at PentahoWorld

June 10, 2014, — Delivering the future of analytics, Pentaho Corporation today launched the Pentaho Excellence Awards, an opportunity to recognize and honor Pentaho users who are deploying Pentaho technologies in impressive and innovative ways. Nominations are now open for this first annual awards program.

Organizations have the opportunity to submit their nomination in six categories. Winners will be selected based on the creativity, impact and business value of their Pentaho deployment by a panel of experts in the field of business analytics and big data. One winner will be recognized in each of the six categories. Out of these winners, the Pentaho User of the Year will be selected and announced live during the Pentaho Excellence Awards ceremony at PentahoWorld – Pentaho's inaugural user conference designed for IT professionals, BI and data integration developers, data architects, analysts and business users taking place at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida, on October 8-10, 2014.

Categories for the Pentaho Excellence Awards include:

• Platform Innovation - Recognition of the most innovative use of Pentaho's open and extensible platform to create a cutting-edge deployment and generate business value.
• Embedded Analytics - Recognition of the company with the greatest metamorphosis after embedding Pentaho Business Analytics. This could include time-to-market, driving new revenue streams or delighting their customers.
• Improved Customer Experience - Recognition of the most insightful company who has improved their customer satisfaction through integrating and analyzing diverse data sources.
• Best ROI - Recognition of the company that has the greatest return on investment as a result of their Pentaho deployment. Examples include quantitative ROI (cost saving, reduced staff needs, people hours saved) or qualitative ROI (improved visibility, gained productivity and, reduced risk).
• Best Enterprise Deployment - Recognition of the most successful Pentaho deployment at an enterprise level (e.g. Fortune 2000) company to solve departmental issues and/or to future-proof their business to scale and develop new analytics capabilities organization-wide.
• Best Big Data - Recognition of the cutting-edge company who has successfully leveraged one of Pentaho's Big Data partner technologies to push the horizons of analytical technology and value.
