Hitachi Data Systems Appoints Industry Veteran Phillip Teague to Strengthen ANZ Channel

Industry and Alliance Solutions Director to Spearhead Growth in Solutions and Cloud Partnerships

AUSTRALIA - July 16, 2013 - Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501), today announced the appointment of Phillip Teague as director, Industry and Alliance Solutions in Australia and New Zealand. The appointment further strengthens the company’s existing channel focus in the region and identifies new partner opportunities with a portfolio of market driven solutions in Australia and Zealand.

Based in Sydney, Teague will have primary responsibilities for Hitachi Data Systems indirect go-to-market strategy in ANZ, reporting to Neil Evans, vice president and country manager, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands. Teague joins Hitachi Data Systems from RSA, the security division of EMC, where he successfully managed all partner programs and channel activities as general manager, Channel and Alliances, ANZ. He previously held other senior channel roles with EMC ANZ.

Teague has more than 20 years of industry experience. Prior to his tenure at EMC, he held IT management roles at BDO Synergy IT and Crone Associates, after starting his career as a data centre manager at Architectonic in the ACT.

Teague holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of New South Wales.
