Keith Roscarel Takes the Helm at Hitachi Data Systems Communications, Media and Entertainment Practice in APAC
Sydney - August 27, 2014 -Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501) today announced the appointment of Keith Roscarel as director, communications, media and entertainment (CME) – Asia Pacific, responsible for the telecommunications, service providers, media and entertainment vertical markets in solution development, alliance and partner development, sales enablement, and customer engagements in the region.
Based in Sydney, Roscarel leads business expansion across APAC with solutions that address operator network analytics, core services, cloud service offerings, and video delivery challenges that organisations face in an era of exponential data growth. He is also tasked with introducing new vertical solutions that will see big data solutions and other industry innovations added to the Hitachi Data Systems solutions portfolio.

Roscarel joined Hitachi Data Systems in 2012 as principal consultant for the company’s media and entertainment business across Australia and New Zealand. In this role he was instrumental in driving the sales of Hitachi solutions to communications, media and entertainment customers in ANZ.
Roscarel is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the communications, media and entertainment industries, including multiple roles as CIO, including Nine Entertainment, program manager for Foxtel, and general manager of applications and software development for Consolidated Press Holdings.
HDS recently showcased its media solutions at NAB 2014. Among the 10 partnerships that were highlighted, HDS demonstrated technologies adopted by Adobe, Foxtel and Globosat. The NAB Show, organised annually by the National Association of Broadcasters in the USA, is the world's largest electronic media event covering film, entertainment and the development, management and delivery of content across all media, with close to 100,000 registered attendees.
