Hitachi Consulting helps Altro predict customer demand more accurately

London – Aug. 02, 2018 – Hitachi Consulting Corporation, a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501), is helping Altro Limited, a UK-based global manufacturer and supplier of commercial floor and wall solutions, to anticipate and meet the demand for its innovative and often customised products.

Altro products are used in numerous industries such as healthcare, hospitality, transport, education, retail and offices, food and drink production, leisure, housing, prisons and defence plus manufacturing and warehousing. The company was founded in 1919 and is based in Letchworth Garden City, United Kingdom. To more accurately forecast customer demand across these diverse markets, Altro selected Oracle’s Demand Management Cloud software. The solution combines forecasting algorithms and a variety of analytics to sense, predict and shape demand. Hitachi Consulting is serving as systems integrator to integrate the demand management solution into the rest of Altro’s manufacturing operations.

Hitachi Consulting and Altro have agreed to deliver a standards-based implementation to effectively leverage the Oracle product with its forecasting engine and algorithms.
