Sheila Rohra

Sheila Rohra, as CEO of Hitachi Vantara, focuses on accelerating growth through innovation with a customer-first mindset. Under her leadership, the company develops and delivers innovative data infrastructure solutions designed to accelerate customers’ digital transformations around the globe. Sheila joined Hitachi Vantara in February 2023 as Chief Strategy Officer and became President of the data infrastructure business in August 2023 before being named CEO in November 2023.
As a seasoned executive and strategist with more than 20 years of leadership in the high-tech industry, Sheila is known for driving transformation across multi-billion-dollar organizations. As CEO of Hitachi Vantara, she has been instrumental in sharpening the company’s strategic focus and accelerating growth, and under her leadership, the company has advanced innovation in data infrastructure and storage, with a strong emphasis on hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence technologies.
Prior to Hitachi Vantara, Sheila served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Data Infrastructure at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). In that role, she was responsible for a global organization focused on delivering storage products and services to Fortune 500 companies.
Before HPE, Rohra worked for 10 years at NetApp where she was SVP of Customer Success and headed an enterprise-wide transformation as Chief Transformation Officer. In the latter role, she led the first phase of an ongoing initiative that dramatically improved operating margins from 7% to more than 20% in just three years. The story of her work was documented in a case study for Stanford Business School.
Sheila also spent 12 years at Cisco where she led manufacturing to scale their fastest-growing networking product at the time. She also held other senior management roles in quality engineering and manufacturing at Bay Networks (later acquired by Nortel Networks).
Sheila lives in the Bay Area and serves on the board for Women in Engineering (WIE) for the University of Maryland. In her leisure time, Sheila enjoys traveling, hiking, painting and cooking with her family.
