The team

We are a team of Payroll professionals who are responsible for managing and processing the payrolls in all EMEA countries where Hitachi Digital is based. We collaborate as a team and cross-functionally to ensure the successful delivery of the payroll to all our employees. We are passionate about providing the best service possible, focusing on accuracy, attention to detail, and demanding utmost discretion, professionalism and sensitivity at all times.

The role

The Payroll Specialist (German speaker) will be responsible for all activities related to processing the EMEA payroll, ensuring that this is performed accurately and on a timely basis. This role reports to the EMEA Payroll Manager, and will work closely with the Human Resources Department (HR), the Regional Controller (Finance) and with colleagues in the Shared Services Centre in Krakow.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to deal with confidential information, and behave with utmost integrity at all times. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships with colleagues and outside agencies, and interact within all levels of the organization. In addition, the Payroll Specialist must be able to work collaboratively in a team as well as on their own.

  • Monthly supervising of payroll processing for the EMEA payroll which includes:
  • Preparation of input for payroll calculation
  • Oversees external payroll provider service
  • Check the payroll output
  • All administration related to pensions, vacation days, insurances, bonuses and other benefits
  • Overtime calculations
  • Payroll point of contact for employees
  • Preparation and submission of all documents and information required in accordance with local regulations (e.g. government, tax authorities, external auditors)
  • Supporting the implementation of payroll-related initiatives and projects
  • Post-payroll accounting tasks

What you’ll bring

  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in payroll
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Intermediate MS Office (Excel) skills
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a team member
  • Flexible and pro-active
  • Strong communication skills
