The team

We represent Hitachi Vantara to enterprise and commercial clients across industries, establishing business relationships to understand customer challenges so that we can deliver profitable business for Hitachi products, services, and solutions. We collaborate as a team and cross-functionally to ensure the success of our customers; success that is celebrated and shared. Our solutions bring value to every line of business, and we need people like you to build those deep relationships and to passionately articulate our value proposition. 

The role

  • Build strong relationships and trust with new and existing customers across industry sectors.
  • Articulate our industry leading solutions, which include Data Centre/Storage, Hybrid Cloud, Big Data and Advanced Analytics to enable your customers to realize the highest levels of success.
  • Support, mentor and motivate a team of experienced Sales professionals.
  • Responsible for the region achieving quotas on a quarter over quarter basis.
  • Coordinate with Field Marketing to develop and execute regional events.
  • Motivate matrixed resources to engage with sales team and drive accountability.
  • Set team expectations in alignment with company strategy and manage transformation.
  • Hire, train and manage performance of team members.
  • Forecast district business accurately and timely 

What you’ll bring

  • Sales experience in infrastructure, data storage, cloud storage, hybrid cloud, data management and other data center technologies
  • At least 10 years of industry experience and at least 5 years of management experience
  • An ability to think creatively and work consistently to identify, develop, and close opportunities within new or prospect customers and you’ll be able to share specific examples to illustrate where and how you have done this
  • The aptitude to identify key decision makers and build relationships that enable you to increase your level of influence within accounts
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets throughout your sales career, illustrating your persistent focus on supporting customers to realize required business outcome
  • An ability to build virtual teams around you to create and deliver innovative solutions
  • You follow and are passionate about industry trends and can share advise and expertise with your customers, extrapolating the business benefits of technology solutions to meet their needs
  • High-energy sales leadership experience with a proven track record motivating and inspiring sales teams to deliver results while transforming to meet market demands.

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected compensation for this position is: $200K base, $350K OTE.  The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara’s sales target incentive and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
