The Challenge: Integrate Data Sources That Are Increasing Due to Multiple Brands

Retail Zoo is a leading Australian food franchise with brands that include Boost Juice, Salsa’s Fresh Mex and Cibo Espresso. As Retail Zoo was expanding, the company wanted to improve end-user (franchisee) data insights into cost of goods and to deliver sales information.

The solution had to be scalable, able to grow to keep up with analytics needs and new technologies. The platform would need to give Retail Zoo the ability to drive results, rather than having technology dictate the approach.

An important objective was that the software would need to be brought to market quickly with minimal IT resources. Finally, the solution needed to easily support multiple brands. Retail Zoo also sought the ability to integrate new data sources and visualize them at low cost.

The Solution: Pentaho Business Analytics, Pentaho Data Integration

Retail Zoo now uses Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho Data Integration for loyalty, sales, point of sale, location and other data and to architect the company’s new data ecosystem. The company uses Pentaho Business Analytics to meet the needs for creating different dashboards and reports that track KPIs. Deployment of the solution was accomplished with Hitachi Vantara’s partner BizCubed, who provided implementation assurance and mobile extensibility.
