Tim O’Neill is the Chief Information Security Officer and Product Security VP for Hitachi Vantara, focused on the proactive management and mitigation of cybersecurity risks, ensuring robust protection for the company’s products, services, information assets and IT infrastructure.
With a rich background spanning over 30 years in cybersecurity, risk management, acquisition and divestitures, fraud and abuse management, and investigations, Tim brings a wealth of experience to his role. Prior to joining Hitachi Vantara, he held esteemed executive positions at Amazon, Hewlett Packard and Blue Shield of California.
Tim is widely acknowledged as a cybersecurity luminary, earning accolades from both the private sector and law enforcement, due to his distinguished service as a police officer specializing in cybercrime enforcement. His expertise is underlined by multiple industry certifications and contributions to the development of National Institute of Standards and Technology computer crime investigative guidelines.
His impact extends beyond corporate boundaries; he has offered expert testimony in state and federal courts and before the U.S. House of Representatives Department of Homeland Security Oversight Committee.
