Tony Gonnella

As Chief Financial Officer, Tony Gonnella is responsible for overseeing financial operations and planning designed to drive profitable growth and market leadership for Hitachi Vantara.
Tony joined Hitachi Vantara in 2023. He brings more than 20 years of expertise, a passion for execution, and a strategic and analytical approach to continuous improvement. A seasoned executive, he has an extensive background in financial planning, financial management reporting, corporate budgeting, P&L management, financial analysis and ERP implementation. Prior to joining Hitachi Vantara, he was the CFO, Cortex and Unit 42 at Palo Alto Networks. In this role, he was responsible for driving the overall financial strategy for the company’s fast-growing Cortex software as a service (SaaS) product suite for automating security operations and Unit 42 threat intelligence, incident response and cyber risk services business units. He has a track record of managing finance teams at large, global organizations with previous leadership roles at NetApp, NetScout Systems, Network General and McAfee Associates.
Tony earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California.
