Virtual Storage Platform One

The VSP One data platform is a unified data storage solution designed for hybrid and multi-cloud environments. It includes VSP One Block for high-performance, primary block storage, VSP One File for scalable file services, and VSP One Object for S3-compatible object storage.  It also supports software-defined storage (SDS) deployments on commodity hardware and provides specialized storage solutions for mainframe environments.  Centralized management is delivered through VSP 360, which offers unified control, observability and governance, to optimize and automate data operations across the VSP One platforms and its ecosystem.

VSP One is a unified data platform consolidating block, file, object and mainframe storage services under a single data plane and accompanying control plane. Unlike legacy storage systems that require separate silos for each data type, VSP One simplifies data operations with common storage services, centralized management, consistent APIs, and flexible deployment models across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments.

VSP One is managed through VSP 360 data management solution that provides unified visibility, AI-driven insights, and predictive analytics across all VSP One platforms and data solutions. It supports REST APIs to streamline integration with IT infrastructure orchestration tools like Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure-as-code (IaC) workflow automation.   Federated fleet management, policy-based data protection, role-based access control, near real-time monitoring, non-disruptive data migration and integrated troubleshooting capabilities help to simplify data management operations while maintaining optimized performance, capacity utilization and availability.

VSP One Block uses a NVMe-based architecture, intelligent caching, and workload-aware Quality-of-Service (QoS) policies to deliver predictable and low-latency storage performance. It dynamically allocates system resources based on diverse workload profiles, whether it's Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) databases, enterprise applications, or ML analytics, ensuring optimal IOPS and throughput for the respective workload.

VSP One ensures high availability through active-active storage clustering, multi-site replication, and storage snapshot-based recovery.  It supports non-disruptive, storage OS upgrades and automated failover with its global-active device feature including built-in data integrity and resiliency.  For disaster recovery, VSP One enables flexible multi-site and cloud-region deployments with policy-driven storage replication and failover orchestration, keeping critical workloads protected and continuously accessible.

VSP One enables seamless data mobility and replication between on-prem infrastructure and public cloud providers. It supports cloud-adjacent architectures (colocation facilities), integrates with Kubernetes and cloud-native services, and provides policy-driven automation for tiering and migration — all while maintaining data sovereignty and performance.
