The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the worst global health and economic crises of our time, and it continues to require the best of humanity to respond and return to recovery together. While some of us have returned to beginning a “new normal,” others around the world are still fighting for their lives.
At Hitachi Vantara, we are committed to supporting organizations that are serving our most vulnerable populations around the world to help fight the COVID-19 crisis.
In this spirit, we’ve launched a global initiative to work with our employees and community partners to help stop the spread of the virus and give communities on the front lines resources to act quickly and serve the most vulnerable. This includes access to vital oxygen, medical supplies, and emergency teams to treat the sick and suffering, especially in low and middle-income areas. It also includes funding programs to ensure safety and psychological well-being of children affected by the pandemic.
With this initiative, Hitachi Vantara will match every donation made on our Community Giving Portal, dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000 (USD).
In addition to providing this matching opportunity to our employees, we’re inviting their family, friends, and our customers and partners to join us in this effort.
Our COVID-relief is set up to work with international, national, and local aid and health organizations to deliver medical supplies and ensure affordability and availability of vaccines for everyone. For example, funds will provide equipment, training and triage for the International Medical Corp to respond to outbreaks and assist UNICEF with procuring and distributing COVID-19 vaccines.
Throughout the pandemic, the health and safety of our employees, clients and partners has been our top priority.
From expanded employee assistance programs, including extended medical coverage and financial support, to business continuity plans that continue to maintain operations and services while ensuring the safety of employees and customers, we continue to leverage our resources as we navigate varying conditions around the globe.
