Hitachi Data Systems to Offer Cisco MDS 9710 Multilayer Director for Comprehensive Data Center Solutions

SANTA CLARA, Calif.— May 1, 2013 — Hitachi Data Systems Corporation (HDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501), today announced that it will integrate the Cisco MDS 9710 Multilayer Director as part of its comprehensive portfolio of information solutions. Hitachi Data Systems offers best-in-class information technologies, services and solutions, which combined with the Cisco networking solutions, provide customers with streamlined operations, improved reliability and optimal investment protection.

Cisco’s 16-Gigabit MDS 9710 Director delivers 24 Tbps of total switching capacity, superior reliability with a fault-tolerant architectural design and fully redundant components, providing more flexibility and reduced costs.
