Ashish Bhagat

As Chief Operating Officer at Hitachi Vantara, Ashish is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring optimized performance, addressing escalations and issues and executing the company’s strategy for profitable growth and scale.  His purview spans across pricing operations, deal governance and operations, IT and security strategy and operations, integrated business analytics and overall business governance.

Ashish has over 20 years of demonstrated expertise in driving operational and financial performance across organizational, geographical and cultural boundaries.

In his most recent role, he served as the Chief Transformation Officer for the Digital Infrastructure Business Unit at Hitachi Vantara since 2022. Ashish was instrumental in integrating core operations across the company, driving deal discipline and governance, spearheading several initiatives to improve gross margins and overall profitability, and also playing a key role in consolidating Hitachi Vantara's global business with Japan for more efficient operations.

Between 2019 and 2022, Ashish was the Senior Vice President & Chief Transformation Officer for Global Finance at Hitachi Ltd. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at Hitachi Vantara in the roles of Senior Vice President of Transformation & Enterprise Operations, Vice President Finance for Worldwide Field Operations and Senior Director Sales Finance.

His experience prior to Hitachi Vantara includes roles in finance and audit advisory services at Openwave Systems, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Grant Thornton.

Ashish earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business-Economics and Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive as of December 2017) and currently resides in San Jose, California.
