The Power of Partnering – Cisco Live!

The technology trade show has come a long way since the early 2000’s. Over the years they’ve transformed from expositions of the latest technical innovations into hands-on explanatory sessions for how best to leverage those innovations. In other words, they’ve become destinations for learning how tech could be put to work, practically, to help solve specific problems.

One such conference is Cisco Live, which is coming up in June. While some of the latest wares will be on display at this conference, the custom “experiences” people create will enable them to learn how to put everything from AI and ML, to IoT and containerization to use.

Through the news and sessions, audience members will no doubt leave Las Vegas with new ways to do things like accelerate application development and deliver exciting new experiences to customers and employees. All of this, of course is geared at enabling organizations to create even more distance between them and the competition.

Hitachi and the Data-Driven Enterprise

The business world today is a classic tale of two cities. Rarely has there been such a time of tremendous technical opportunity and yet intense, debilitating complexity. From technical advances, like AI and automation to hybrid cloud, the enterprise is modernizing to be faster, more efficient, and productive.

Yet some of these same technologies are leading to dramatic challenges for business, especially in areas like hybrid cloud management, data portability, application development, and more. All of this, of course plays against a backdrop of a world trying to pull itself from a pandemic – a pandemic that has led to global remote workforce challenges, supply chain challenges, security challenges, and the Great Resignation, which in itself has exacerbated the global skills shortage.

It’s not easy. Hitachi Vantara has a unique position, however. We’re a modern digital and cloud services provider that is part of the iconic 110-year-old Hitachi. We have experienced and overcome many challenges first-hand. We’re a manufacturer, a bank, a transport company.

We bring the benefit of history with the energy of a modern digital company. And one of the many things we’ve learned is that in today’s environment, regardless of the size of the org or the intensity of the challenge, no one can go it alone if they want to succeed.

The Power of Partnering with Cisco

We’ve known this for quite a while. It’s one of the reasons we began working with Cisco more than 20 years ago. Our relationship only grows stronger with each passing year. And relationship extends far beyond storage and networking. Today’s Hitachi Vantara is about data freedom ─ from ingestion, management and governance, across all industries.

As I walk through Cisco Live in June, I know I’ll see companies focused on data storage, analytics, data center management, etc. These are the right things to explore, and to learn about. But against the ever-changing landscape, remember, it’s increasingly difficult for any one technology or single provider to provide all that’s required to help you succeed or accelerate your digital journey. The power is in partnering.

Drop by our Cisco Live booth #1964 and let me know your thoughts about the power of partnering.
